Turning 19

By Krinza Momin

Love, likeness, lust and attraction.
Jealousy, hatred, grudges, depression.
Dating, relations, heartbreaks and tension.
That’s how she wasted some years being teenager.

Peer pressure, competitions, fears and comparison.
Things that limited her adventures and standards.
Surprisingly, she was trying to fit in the container.
Rigid, solid, hard and clustered.

Suddenly, she realized, that she has one last chance to
experiment, explore and embrace.
There’s left an year of her teenage.
She was turning 19 this month.

Now she was more concerned about her character instead of reputation.
Concerned with herself rather being fucking hustler, complexer.
For sure! Her 19, won’t be going by default and scattered.
Not fighting the old, but building the exception!
